ICCH congresses
The ICCH congresses are held every third year in different locations in the circumpolar area and represent the largest scientific meetings worldwide on circumpolar health.
The ICCH congresses are organized by the International Union for Circumpolar Health (IUCH), aided by a local organizing committee.
The ICCH congresses serve as the primary source of information exchange and scholarly communication in issues relating to circumpolar health. More than 750 participants generally register and participate in each Congress, and more than 400 scientific papers or posters are usually presented.
The involvement of medical scientists, policy and decision makers, Native peoples, and others in the triennial congresses is growing steadily. To date, there have been fifteen international symposia/congresses.
Scientific committee
The scientific committee of the 17th ICCH congress consists members of the IUCH Board and additional experts on health and well being in Arctic areas.
