Short Biography
Anders Koch is a specialist in Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine and PhD, Master of Public Health (MPH), and Professor at Ilisimatusarfik, the University of Greenland in Nuuk.
Anders Koch works as a research leader at the Departments of Epidemiology Research and Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Prevention, Statens Serum Institut, and clinically as a staff specialist at the Department of Infectious Diseases, Rigshospitalet University Hospital, Copenhagen, Denmark. In addition, Anders Koch is a lecturer in Arctic health at the School of Global Health, the University of Copenhagen.
Anders Koch has more than 20 years’ experience with epidemiological field- and register-based research in Greenland, and has published widely, mainly within infectious diseases, but also within cancer, asthma and allergy and other health areas in the Arctic. Anders Koch is Deputy Editor of the International Journal of Circumpolar Health (IJCH), and President of the International Union for Circumpolar Health (IUCH), the Danish Greenlandic Society for Circumpolar Health, and the upcoming 17th International Congress of Circumpolar Health (ICCH17), August 12-15, 2018, Copenhagen, Denmark.
