Planet Youth and Reykjavik as a healthy city

Short biography

Thorisdottir is a public health specialist at the Icelandic Centre for Social Research and Analysis working mainly on the Youth in Iceland studies, the ERC funded Lifecourse project, Planet Youth and the Healthy Cities initiative in Reykjavik, Iceland. She is working towards her PhD degree at Reykjavik University focusing on risk and protective factors for adolescent depressed mood and anxiety using a biopsychosocial approach. Her most recent publication examines the trends of adolescent mental health in Iceland. She holds a master’s degree in public health from Reykjavik University and a bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of Iceland.
